Professional movement in climate change & sustainability fields

Climate Change and Sustainability have become one of the major issues attracting much of our efforts in recent years. Incidentally, this is also one of the fields where lot of professional movements are happening. Here is a short list of professional movements in the sector in recent times.

Chandan Bhavnani is now Associate Director at CDP, an organisation that runs the global environmental disclosure system for business & subnational governments. Chandan has 12 years of global experience as a leader, consultant and practitioner in climate change and sustainability. Chandan has done BTech in Environmental Engineering Technology from  Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and MBA from Fore School of Management.

Kanika Dhiman has been appointed as Consultant – Sustainability and Climate Change at Thinkthrough Consulting. She will be spearheading sustainability reporting as per GRI Standards for major players in apparel, cement, and specialty chemical industries. Kanika has done graduation from Delhi University and Master’s in Science, Environmental Science and Resource Management from TERI School of Advanced Studies.

Srinath Komarina has been appointed as Senior Green Finance Officer (Asia) at Global Green Growth Institute. Srinath is a sustainable finance professional with experience in green bonds and sustainable finance spread across multiple geographies. Srinath has done BTech in Computer Science Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and MBA from National Institute of Industrial Engineering.

Swagat Gogoi has been promoted as Consultant at Ernst & Young. Earlier he was Associate Consultant at E&Y. Swagat is an experienced professional in the climate change and sustainability domain, having expertise of working across the chemicals, energy, HSEC, metals & mining, oil & gas and telecommunications sectors. Swagat is B.E. in Telecommunication Engineering and has done his Masters in Energy Systems from University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.

Tejaswini Raval-Kamat is now Head – ESG & Impact Investing at EverSource Capital. Tejaswini has over 14 years of global leadership experience in EHS, ESG & Sustainability services. Tejaswini has done graduation in Microbiology and Biotechnology from Wilson College Mumbai and MSc in Environmental Science from Mumbai University.
