P. K. Gupta takes over CMD of NBCC India

P. K. Gupta is the new Chairman & Managing Director of NBCC (India) Ltd., a Navratna CPSE. He has replaced Shiv Das Meena who has ceased to be the CMD of the company w.e.f. 7th October. Meena is an Additional Secretary with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Gupta who was earlier with RITES as Executive Director will remain CMD of NBCC till September 30, 2023. Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has already conveyed the approval of the Competent Authority for appointment of P. K. Gupta to the post of CMD.

Gupta holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from NIT, Kurukshetra and an M.Tech from IIT Delhi. He joined Indian Railway Service of Engineers in 1986 and now has 33 years of Civil Engineering works experience, serving in Railways and its constituents in various capacities. During Gupta’s tenure in the last organization, he has successfully supervised planning, designing and execution of more than 125 projects. His knowledge and expertise in the field of Civil Engineering is manifested by many landmark projects in areas of Metros and Rail Infrastructure which include Metro in Mauritius, Metro Rail Projects in India, Roads under/over Bridges and various buildings etc. he has undertaken and successfully executed.

Founded in 1960 as a Govt. of India Civil Engineering Enterprise, NBCC with its Headquarter in Delhi, today, holds the status of Navratna CPSE, and has emerged as the undisputed leader in the Construction Sector on the back of its capabilities, innovative approach, adherence to highest standard of quality, timely delivery and a dedicated workforce. Of late, NBCC entered a new business vertical named Re-Development of Government Properties, under its PMC Segment.
