Building materials industry was nearly out of action for two months due to lockdown and has recently resumed activities once again. Hence most of the new recruitments and promotions are likely to take place in the coming days. Here are some of the cases of job movements/promotions in the sector in the recent past. (List is in alphabetical order)

B S R RAY is now State Head at Rak Ceramic lndia pvt ltd for Odisha for Slab/Ceramic Division of the company. Ray has been working with Rak Ceramics for the last 31/5 years.  In the past, Ray has worked in companies like Kajaria and Somany Ceramics.

Himanshu Maniar has been appointed as Regional Manager at JSW Paints. In the past, Himanshu has worked in companies like Kamdhenu Paints, Nippon Paint and Kansai Nerolac. A Commerce graduate from Gujarat University, Himanshu is experienced in implementing marketing plan, distribution policies and reviewing dealership network.

Niket Kapur is now Chief Executive Officer at Allwud Furniture Systems, a modular workstations supplier. Niket has quit Classic Marble Company to join New Delhi based Allwud. Niket has 20 years of experience in selling, promoting, and managing sales of interior related products and also consumer durables. Niket is a Commerce Graduate from Delhi University.

Parineeta Cecil Lakra is now Country People & Culture Manager at IKEA India. Earlier she was Country Transformation Hub Manager in the company. Parineeta is an Economics graduate from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and an MBA, HR from XLRI Jamshedpur. She has about 15 years experience in Human Resources related fields.

Rajiv Kumar is now Chief Commercial Officer at Ambuja Cements Ltd, a LafargeHolcim Group Company. Earlier he was Director- Sales &Marketing (North & Central market) at ACC Ltd, another LafargeHolcim Group Company. Rajiv is a senior sales and marketing professional with more than 25 years of rich experience, out of which 13 years in ACC alone.

Yoshita Singh has been appointed as Sustainability Developer at IKEA Group. Earlier she was a Senior Specialist – Sourcing at Walmart. Yoshita is a science graduate from Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow and an MBA Business Sustainability and Marketing from The Energy Research Institute (TERI). She is trained to think in a life cycle perspective to make any industrial process or product sustainable.
