Delhi govt plans a green building for DSIIDC

Delhi government is planning to build multi-storied integrated Office building complex in Govt. land measuring 2,865-sq.m at I.P. Estate adjoining to Vikas Bhawan where DUSIB office is functioning. The proposal includes construction of clean, green, air conditioned multi-storied integrated Office building complex.

There will be two phases of construction, in phase one after dismantlement of existing sheds, multi-storied office complex will be constructed of which 60% area will be given for Delhi urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) office and remaining will be with Delhi State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (DSIIDC).

Approximate cost of construction for phase one is expected to be 45 crores. Phase II will be undertaken after enhancement of FAR from existing 200. According to the state government, the project is being undertaken to improve drastically the skyline of central business district of New Delhi.

The proposed site is located at I.P. Estate in front of Azad Bhawan cultural centre. The Ring Road is at 200-m, Vikas Marg at 300-m {both are MRTS (Major Rapid Transport System)} and the Pragati Maidan Metro Station is also very near from the proposed site. This location falls within the influence area of MRTS (500-m both side from centre line of MRTS) for which a proposal is in active consideration of Govt. of NCT Delhi to substantially increase the FAR.

The project will be completed in three years’ time.
