The Chennai Architecture Foundation will host an architecture exhibition called ‘Portfolio 18’ from January 5 to 7 in Chennai. The first edition of ‘Portfolio 18’ will be held at Lalit Kala Akademi. The architecture exhibition will showcase the work of architecture students and will also provide a platform for various stakeholders to discuss about architecture education.
Works from the CARE School of Architecture, Hindustan University, Rajalakshmi School of Architecture and VIT University would be on display. ‘Pin Up,’ ‘College in Focus’ and panel discussions are the main attractions of the event. While ‘Pin Up’ will display the academic works of 11 prominent colleges in Tamil Nadu, ‘College in Focus’ will provide an opportunity to students to share their ideas about architecture. In the panel discussion both students and faculties will participate. On the whole, ‘Portfolio 18’ is an opportunity for students, faculty and institutions to share their experiences and thoughts and to remove certain misgivings of architecture education.
