A next generation skyscraper to come up in Taiwan -min
A next generation skyscraper will come up in Taipei (Taiwan) which will be called the Intelligence Operation Center. Over 800 feet tall skyscraper which will decorate the Taichung city skyline, will be designed by the French architect, Elizabeth Portzamparc. The project is being developed by Taichung Gateway Park in Taichung’s Xitun District.
The Intelligence Operation Center will incorporate natural light and greenery heavily throughout the structure and will blend with the surrounding urban environment. There will be parks and greenery on every level of the structure and the building will contain residential neighborhoods, a digital culture center, retail stores, restaurants and office space.
Unlike other structures, floors will not be simply piled on top of one another. Instead, the inclined ramps or “streets” will connect the neighborhoods on different levels throughout the entire development.
Elizabeth de Portzamparc is a well-known town planner whose designs always express a strong relationship with their urban surroundings. Her dual design approach, both sociological and architectural, acquired through her various experiences, combine the sociological, urbanistic and economic requirements of a project with an optimal design of its shapes. This association is illustrated in the formal rigor of her various buildings, civil engineering structures and her tram stops in Bordeaux.
